I'm new to vaping so I have a lot to learn.
I have an Eleaf iStick 30w with an Aspire K1, using Virgin Vapor VG juice.

I seem to be having a lot of problems with juice I've used all along tasting burnt that I'm afraid to raise the wattage with the Virgin Vapor beyond 6.5. Could someone give me a few guidelines please.

I wouldn't be an expert on the aspire , but i reckon the juice you are using is too high in VG .its too thick.

Try changing the juice to one that has a high PG.
    Its a lot thinner.

I have to use the VG juice but I was thinking of getting a Kanger, would this be better?

Yes ,a kanger subtank would be ideal.

If you get a subtank, don't just fill the tank and assemble and vape. Put a few drops of liquid into the coil first, make sure it's good and moisht.

If you wanted something a little cheaper why not try a nautilus mini, even to get an idea of what can be gotten with a good set up, and for me its a lot easier to use than a Kanger

I don't the Nautilus Mini will handle the high VG juice. Of course everyone's experience is different.

just get the Kanger Subtank, even the RBA is easy to handle for a beginner, just buy the premade coils
