    Hi,

I've had some bad luck this month with my car being in the garage and it costing more than expected. On top of that the ESB bill came in this month after the meter being read and it is a good bit higher than usual. I appreciate the bill is higher because the weather has been so bad I've had no choice but to overuse the tumble dryer.

My esb bill is due to be collected on tuesday the 29th, but unfortunately I will not be able to have sufficient funds in my account at that time. I suspect the payment has already been requested.

Is there a possibility for me to pay 50% of the bill now, and 50% of the bill this time next month?

    Hi boomshakalaka,

    Thanks for your message.

Requests for payments are sent to a bank at least four working days prior to the amount is due to be debited from an account. If your payment is due tomorrow Tuesday September 29th then a request would have been sent roughly midweek last week.

To prevent the payment from being taken we would advise that you contact your bank and request a SEPA payment refusal. Once the request for payment has been returned to our system, which can take up to four or five days, then we can make an arrangement regarding the outstanding balance.

As soon as the payment has returned to our system we would ask that you provide us with the following details by private message:
    • Your full name
    • Your account number
    • The first line of your address
    • Your contact number or date of birth
    • Confirmation you are the account holder (a sentence stating this is sufficient)
We will then be able to work with you to arrange a payment that works for you.

We hope this helps. If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.

    Thanks,
    Brige
