    Hey,

Although i post on other sections of the forum i have never posted here. I am planning on moving home in December and Parents are Kindly allowing me to move into a Granny flat we have which has water, electric and solid fuel stove (Heats Water).

Anyway i would be looking at keeping bills as low as possible as i try to get on my feet in Ireland again. (I am looking at a substantial car insurance bill due to ncb lapsing.) Can anyone please advise the best methods for the house/flat. Is it possible to wire the solar panels myself?

How old is the property !? What budget.

My first euro to be spent will be in improving the insulation...top to bottom, left to right.
    Then...see the heating and ventilation.

I'm no expert in these but I DIY my house with a proper insulation and I have almost 2 months with no or little heat going on...

    Have fun...

Agree with rolion re the insulation.

Off topic but maybe helpful I was able to get a NCB re-instated that had lapsed for five years.

No magic used just pleading with AXA did the trick :)

    Welcome home.
