Alternatives to Climote?

I live in a newly renovated 2 story house. It has three zones, one upstairs, one downstairs and water. I also have a large solid fuel stove in the kitchen/living room area but this has not got a back boiler.
I was looking at the climote system which seems to meet my needs but having to pay a subscription for remote access is ridiculous.

Are there any other similar systems people have used which allow access from a smart phone but have not got a subscription fee or have you got any other suggestions which may work well????
I also looked at Nest but I work alternate shifts and have kids coming and going so the smart, predictive system may not work.

    Thanks

Dont see how this helps with what I asked. Have you installed this with a climote system or how are you using it.

That is not an alternative from what I can see. That is just a wireless connectivity device. On its own it does nothing for heating systems.

Had you a standard timer, 2 nodes and water tank before the owl was fitted. Or is it driving a similar system?
If so was it a DIY job or is it pretty complex to fit.

    Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I had a standard timer with 2 zones and the water tank. Each of the two zones had a thermostat on the wall. The owl kit just replaces the thermostat, and then connects wirelessly to a unit that you connect to your router. There is a battery in the thermostat, but mine is still showing fairly full after twelve months. I left the hot water on the standard timer, but can transfer that later if I wish.
It can be fitted DIY, there's just some minor transferring if wiring from the old thermostat to the owl unit.
    Hope that helps.

Nest can be set to normal scheduling, "auto learn" is just an option!

looking at this atm - what configuration did you buy? cw/hw? - i'm looking to replace heating controls which have one 'zone' as my heating and the other 'zone' as my boiler-heated water
