IT: Applying For London Jobs From Dublin

I'll be moving to London next year and I'd much rather have a job (either permanent or contract) sorted before I move.

Does anyone have any experience with applying for IT jobs in London from Ireland. Are companies willing to do phone / VC interviews? I wouldn't mind travelling over for a 2nd / 3rd stage interview though.

Would the lack of a UK address at interview stage hurt my chances?

    Thanks.

I've been the other side of the table - hiring people for jobs both in Dublin and London.

Most tech companies will be pretty open to doing phone and Skype interviews. They're easier to an extent for all involved because it doesn't tie up resources like an on-site does. Tech people are hard to find in London at the moment, so they will very much be open to interviewing you before you go over. They may even pay a relocation bonus.
