Have a 02 Passat that the front indicator on the passenger side keeps blowing on. I've checked the wiring and can't keep to find any problems with it.

Would it be a fuse? Its an intermittent problem it comes and goes all with the same bulb I've tried changing it and it keeps happening. Anyone any ideas?

There are a couple of fuses protecting the hazard warning lamp circuitry, including the indicator lamp circuits. Might be worth a visual check in case they are loose. If the lamp keeps blowing, check the earth point for that circuit which is in the passenger footwell at the A pillar, (assuming you have a B6 chassis passat) also make sure you have full battery voltage at the connector (around 12-14.5 V with engine running) and in or around 0 volts on the other pin of the connector. If you have more than 0.2 V then you have a high resistance issue in the earth side of the circuit. If you read less than battery voltage on the feed side of the circuit you have a resistance in the feed side.
Hazard switches can also fail on these VW builds and cause indicator issues.

Agreed. Hazard switches are common culprits.

If it was my car I'd chance replacing the switch to see if it cures the problem. It's relatively inexpensive and an easy swap.

Haven't got the car that long and after I read that first reply I did actually notice my hazards don't work

Then I'd be even more inclined to replace the hazard switch. The relay for controlling the flashing (indicator and hazard) is built into the hazard switch.
