Back on the turbo for a few sessions. finding i have knee pain after this. i have cycled the roads all summer 150km/week with plenty hills but no knee pain. i had a professional bike fit May 2014. Is this to do with the rigidity of the bike position in the turbo. i have Speed Play Zero pedals. any views/ comments greatly accepted

Is it the same bike that you are using for both road and turbo?

Good question. Yes it's the same bike.

I have been told by a pysio that a turbo can cause issues because bike is held so rigid and no lateral movement or flex. However it Could be a coincidence and the problem has just surfaced at same time you start using turbo.

Is the bike level, ie. have you raised the front wheel?

I started propping up the front wheel the last few times I used the turbo.

When on the road I move around a lot on the bike and so the bike moves with me. The same degrees of freedom are not present on the turbo. Ultimately it means I can't make good use of turbo which is s shame!
