    All BMW's from that era seem to be appreciating. There was a 25k miles E39 525i Sport for sale here a few weeks back that sold to a UK dealer for around €8K!

    All BMW's from that era seem to be appreciating. There was a 25k miles E39 525i Sport for sale here a few weeks back that sold to a UK dealer for around €8K!
    If it were manual, I'd pay 8 for it!

    Be carefull with insurance, my e32 was mint and they cost app 6k plus to buy now, but the insurance company only offered 1100 when it was wrote off, took over 6 months with solicitors to get 3 grand out of them which is less then half the buying price of a replacement.

    It's worth it if you are planing on buying an e38 because you want one, just expect to have to pay out of your own pocket if anything happens to it.
