    Hi,

Am finishing up a new build in the North West at the min and asked the contractor to price for finishing up outside. Price back is:

    Concrete back 3000 +vat
    Kerb front 1150+ vat
    Tarmac 50mm. 4360+ vat
    2no stone pillars 650 + vat
    Level and sow front
    Lawn 1drains top &
    1 Bottom level soil back
    Garden. 2250+vat
    No fencing

The area being concreted and tarmaced is not huge. It's really just the back of the house (cement) and front of the house tarmac. The front gate is close to the house so no long drive way.

I know I don't have an area but wondering what are thoughts on this price?

    Thanks,

    WM

No-one can give you advice unless you answer the following:

    Dimensions?
    Whats access like?

    Hi,
      Site is half acre
      Tarmac area is 6mx20m (max)
      Cement area is 4m x 12m

Access to site is extremely easy, just off a main road.

    Thanks,

    WM

Taking that the rear of the house may need to have hardcore, whacking, shuttering out would be a days work for 2 lads and another day to pour the concrete, the material cost with the concrete is probably in the region of 1500/1800 including VAT.

Pillars seem about right, stone is a slow job.

What sort of kerb is priced ? If its the precast, about 15per meter, so 75 which sounds about right for half arce is kerb is running front to rear.
