Have my NCT tomorrow. After getting a puncture this morning I was taking the wheel off and one lug nut just wouldnt come off, in the process I think I damaged the threading on the nut.

Will it pass the nct with just 3 lug nuts on?

Probably not, I failed for only having 4 on a 5 stud, I guess it depends on the tester.

That's what I was thinking. Going to try and get one in the morning.

Definitely won't pass with 3. Get one in the motor factors. Last time I needed one I paid €1.20 :)

Oh great, thought I would have to go to a scrapyard but there's a motor factors right beside me.

    Thanks

If the nut is on there at least, they will probably pass you. They wouldn't be checking how they're torqued.
Obviously having functioning wheel nuts is important and get it sorted ASAP.
