Any thought on this area? Thinking of buying here. I love Rathmines but can't find anything within the price range that ticks the boxes so this seems like a good compromise. Anything I should be aware of? Drove around a few times and it seems very quiet bar one or two drunks in the park one day.

Same same as you @Sala - we are a young family and considering moving from Rathmines where we're currently renting, into Mount Argus. Any information about the area will be appreciated

That nobody replied to the OP for nine years probably tells you something: it's fine. There's not much to say. Compared to Rathmines it's lacking in facilities like shops and restaurants, but it's well connected to town and it's an easy walk or cycle to Rathmines, Terenure and the like. If and when the F spine of BusConnects happens it will have a big effect on traffic in the area, so I wouldn't suggest moving to the Lower Kimmage Road area if you're planning to get around by car.

My brother lives in Larkfield. Has a young family and the estate is full of young family, mainly non Dub families.

He and his wife absoloutly love it. Revolving door of kids and neighbours visits every weekend though I'm sure thats optional :)

    Super safe
