    Hi,

I want to restore my laptop to factory setting but I am having trouble doing it. I reset the laptop, press f8 and went through the steps to get to the system recovery options (attached is a photo of what came up).

From looking at the information available online, I should see the dell factory image restore (or something similar) but I cannot find it.

Can anyone help me in figuring out how I can reset my laptop to factory settings?

If you look at the attachment above, it doesn't give the option restore to factory settings. There is an option missing below the command prompt.

Did you buy the laptop new or second hand? On Dell laptops after pressing f8 there should be a repair my computer option.

After resetting the laptop I pressed f8 then the advanced options for windows 7 came up and clicked on repair your computer. Then I selected the keyboard input to be Irish. Next I clicked my account and inputted my password and then the screen appeared which is in the picture above. From all of the sources I have found online, it shows the dell factory Image recovery should be shown under the command prompt option but it isn't.
