Hey guys , I bought my car in January of this year and got it taxes and nctd, unfortunately due to financial reasons I did not insure it so it was just left outside my house, my mother got herself insured on it for 30 days in April because her car was broke.
I was just about to get it insured with boxymo went through the whole procedure but they then would not insure me because the car has not been insured within 3 months ,
Just wondering if this is the case with most insurance company's? AIB/AXA in particular , and if so is there anyway I can get around it without having to sell my car and buy a new one,
    Thanks

How did you get it taxed with no insurance? How old is it?

Don't bother dealing with this company! I went through the same thing you did, had to buy a new car to get it insured, then because THEY could not communicate with the company they contracted to fit the telematics device they cancelled my insurance ( It wasn't fitted on time). Impossible to get through to them, and they even deny getting calls from me. They now are taking 30% of my premium for their muck up. I'm making a complaint, and going to follow through on seeing this company held to task for, what believe is unfair and sharp practice.

Absolutely spot on avoid at all cost I had a similar experience the denied receiving my documents made false claims of sending notification emails all designed to cancel your policy and then take a cancellation fee plus charge you €125 for fitting the monitoring box and all taken out of your deposit, fraudulent and dishonest comes to mind.
