I'm looking for some advise. I'm in the market to purchase a bike, probably in the UK as it will be used there. It's for herself, she's working in the UK and looking to simply have a bike to get to/from work which is a 20min walk. The bike won't be used for much else bar maybe a run to the shops.

The market is massive so it's trying to know what to look out for is the tricky one. Thoughts?

    Thanks in advance!

A journey that takes 20 minutes on foot will take less than 10 on a bike so if thats all its going to be used for then just make sure it has 2 round wheels and a saddle. Its not going to need to be anything fancy or expensive. I'd say just check out the local classifieds and buy something that hasnt had a hard life, is a reasonably well known brand and that she fits comfortably on a test ride.

Great value and choice in decathlon sports shops, very good own range triban bikes, they get great reviews from the experts too.
