Bridal underwear advice...

Ok so I really need advice on what underwear to get for underneath my wedding dress...my dress is made to measure, fit and flare and very fitted...originally the dress maker told me to get a thong but at my last fitting told me I need seamless high waisted underwear but any "seamless" high waisted underwear I've ever bought is a) not really seamless - you can always see the lines b) rolls down and c) creates a roll of fat (I mean the bits you're squashing have to go somewhere)! She also said a t-shirt bra would do but the one I bought created a line (which was the underwire) and I really need to be supported!

    Any suggestions??

Try going up a size on the seamless if you are seeing those issues.

You could try a slip over the bra, but I don't know how much wiggle room you have in the dress.

I wore a slip with bra built in. From M&S, worked fine

Where are you? Maybe someone could recommend a lingerie store very experienced in bridal lingerie?

I'm in Dublin...I don't think a slip would work as that would probably show through the dress as well...it's very fitted! The bra is getting sown into the dress too so a slip with s bra wouldn't work...might try go up a size as suggested!

A slip shouldnt show. (if it didnt show through mine... silk dress with bias cut) But perhaps your dress is quite tight down to your thighs.

Peaches & cream and Intimate lingerie on Tara ST would be worth trying

M&S also do a "wear your own bra" slip - the bra part is cut out

Gap do a lacy knicker that is actually seamfree, works better for me than any alleged seam free.

I would also recommend intimate lingerie on Tara street. She 'll even sew/rejig items to properly suit your dress. Make sure to make an appointment tho as she doesn't take walk-ins

I have the slip below in beige and use it if I am wearing very fitted or clingy fabric.

It has built in knickers and ends just below my bra and works really well

Yes I got mine there - and my dress had all sorts of panels and cut outs so was a tall order! Expensive but absolutely the best! Also they won't sell you what you don't need. I went to Arnotts first and they were not good!
