    Hi all

I recently re-located away from Ireland but would like to think that I will spend 4 or 5 1-2 week vacations in Ireland per year.

I currently have a car in Ireland and 123.ie wouldn't renew my policy as I'm not resident in Ireland.

Is there any companies that will

    a) insure me
    b) offer a better deal than 1 years full time insurance. I/e Occasional or infrequent coverage.

    Any help appreciated

With the costs of maintaining it, paying for 3 months motor tax, NCT, insurance and the fact that the car will be sitting idle for 11 months of the year would it not be cheaper, and a lot less hassle, to rent for the month you're back?

Most if not all insurance companies here will not insure you if you are no longer a resident here.

You may be just better off renting when you come home.
