Hi , just looking for recommendations of an overshoe to keep my socks and shoes dry on my commute to work . I dont clip in and I dont need them for anything else other than the 5k cycle into work so they wouldnt have to be race end stuff .

I was looking at these ones ,

    http://www.ebay.ie/itm/Sealskinz-Waterproof-Cycle-Over-Sock-size-XL-UK-12-14-/400782203051?hash=item5d507b18ab

pricey but they seem easy to slip on , only thing is that I dont wear spds or clip in and the pedals on my commuter are very sharp and grippy so i was thinking the bottom of them would get ripped to bits , any good overshoes out there for people who ride flat pedals? , thanks in advance ,

    Barry

would you be better off with waterproof shoes or boots? Overshoes are a solution for cycling shoes with cleats.

Thanks , Id rather not have to bring a second pair of shoes to work with me if at all possible , but if overshoes are for cleats only then I'll have to consider

I leave a pair of shoes under my desk, change them there.

Hate to tell you this, but even with overshoes, your feet will still get wet..best option is a spare pair of shoes (and socks) and leave them in work.

My approach to this is to wear normal pair of runners on the bike. If they get sodden on the way into work I simply stuff them with newspaper and they're dry by the time I need to go home. Also have a spare pair of socks in drawer at work (sports socks - €5 for 3 pairs).
