Old Address on Ownership Cert - Can I still sell my car?

    Good afternoon,

This is probably a very stupid question but I am a bit worried now. I moved some months ago and never updated my address with the Tax and Motor Office. I am supposed to drop my old car into the dealer tomorrow and pick up the new one, but now I am not sure if this is even possible?

Does anyone know if I can still discard my old car even though my address on the cert is no longer valid?

    You won't have a problem.

Should be fine but just tell the dealer, most of them can do the transfer online these days and they will update it with the new owner's details as soon as the car is sold.

BTW just make sure that they have the correct address for your new car.
