Hey I'm looking for the best quality instrument cable and also where to get it.

I don't mind ordering online at all. I want one end to have a right angle on it as well.

I was thinking about planet waves for it but figured I might as well ask on here to see what people thought.

the best quality one is the one that isn't broken when you need it.

I made mine all ip from bright yellow mic cable and heavy duty plugs I got on ebay.

    bright yellow?

yup, now I know which ones are mine!

never had one fail or be stolen :)

I read somewhere that Jimi Hendrix used the cheapest cables he could get as he likead all the crackles pops and microphonic fun and games you get with poor shielding!

While I dont agree with paying seriously high prices for instrument cable, I dont necessarily agree with the above either.

OP, I bought from this guy (see link below) on adverts. The cable is excellent and the guy is a gent to deal with. You can advise him on exactly what you need.

I also have two other "Van Damme" leads which after about eight years of use, are still going strong.

I bought Cordial cables from Thomann several years ago. They have neutrik metal plugs and don't tangle. They do the job and I don't have to worry about them.

I did something similar when I bought bright green mic cable for my location recordings: I never lose a cable :)

Mic cable does present a different impedance to a pickup, so it's not the same as instrument cable. For instrument cable I really like the cloth covered Sommer stock: by the metre and with Neutrik Silent jacks on the end it is hard to beat!

I am tempted by this, anyone else bought from this guy?
