I'm a fresh college student, just moved into a house. I'm having a little trouble with the shower, its Mira Sports showers. I have one at home where I come from.

But ye, the problem is. I turn the power on, get into the shower and get hot water for like 60-90 seconds. Then it goes cold, and doesn't come back if I leave it for a while and turn it on again it comes back for another 60-90 seconds. Also if I have it set to high and then, like the lowest heat I can sometimes get 120 seconds of hot water. On Medium setting I get like 30 seconds of hot water.

The thing is, the shower at home makes a pretty loud buzzing sound. But the one here is doesn't. Like you can hardly hear it, would the shower be broken or what could possibly be wrong with it?

I think it might need to be replaced. We had a similar problem with our shower (same Mira make), and eventually it just burned out. Get in touch with your landlord....cold showers aren't fun!

Mira Sport is a mains fed shower , so it does not have a motor inside to pump the water hence it is almost silent.
Being as its a mains fed unit there may be a problem with the water pressure or the heating unit, either way your Landlord should have somone out to look at it.

I agree with k flyer. When the shower goes cold does the low flow light come on?
Do you have the same problem throughout the day or will it work ok after midnight.
There isn't a part in the shower that can cause the problem you are describing so I'm really thinking it water pressure. Shower may need to be replaced with a Pumped electric shower. This would need to be repiped as it would come from the tank in the attic rather than the mains

Flow flow doesn't come on at all, doesn't matter what time I tried taking a shower at 2am still had the same problem.

I'll say this, one time I turned the shower on High and hottest setting and the water was piping hot. So I set it to high but like the lowest setting, and the water was warm just perfect for a shower. I tried setting the water to hotter after the water goes cold, but the flow just stops more and more as I turn the temperature of the water higher. The lower I turn it the faster it comes out.

    Any help is appreciated.

If you have a very poor water flow rate then the unit is not going to function correctly and usually overheats.
It may be poor mains water pressure, or a partial blockage somewhere, possibly in the filter.
Really need to have someone who knows what they are doing in to look at it.
