    Hi guys

Bought an item from the UK, tracking says it was delivered - yet it was at a time I was not home and no-one was at home to sign for it. Item cannot be found anywhere outside.

Hermes were the delivery company in the UK, cannot find who delivered it here?

What can I do? Seller is not helpful. Paid by PayPal and opened a claim but if tracking shows delivered don't know if that will help.

I had a Hermes delivery that came via Nightline, but that was a while ago.

I read on here recently that someone got one via DHL, so it may be worth contacting those companies and asking are they agents for Hermes in Ireland.

    You dit it right, OP.

Obviously you can try to find (and contact) a company delivering goods here on behalf of hermes, but it's the seller who has a contract with courier, not you, so it's seller's job to deal with courier.

And keep your paypal claim open.

What can I do to get my money back?

Right. Turns out it was Nightline. Lazy driver left it at the side of the house just inside a bedroom window. Parcel is definitely not there. I'm guessing someone swiped it. The courier surely has to be responsible? No one here signed for it, he just dropped it off. Not to mention the fact he trespassed on my property, opened the side gate etc

    The courier is responsible.

    Thank you for confirming.

I think it is ridiculous how they are too lazy to just leave a note in the door so i can collect it or re-arrange the delivery. why do they not do this? The item in question is worth over €200. how do I approach this with the courier to get a refund/money back?

You have no contract with courier.

Contact seller. If seller won't cooperate, claim your money back with paypal.

If it doesn't show your signature then it's not delivered to you. Keep up with the seller and remind them that paypal will most likely refund you as they can't prove it was delivered to you.

Seller is calling me 'suspicious' on the dispute messages because it says delivered yet I do not have it.. I don't think he fully understands what happened. He escalated it to paypal now though.

if they do not refund me can i do a chargeback?
