Moving house - no TIN

    I moved house two weeks ago, and had not received my letter from the DSP with my TIN at that time. I have updated my address with Irish Water, and called the DSP. Their "solution" (to ensure I receive my letter) was to set up mail forwarding through An Post at my own expense. I explained that this is not a viable solution as mail forwarding takes at least five days to set up, and the letter may have already been sent out in the two weeks since I moved (in which case I would never receive it). I was told my case would be escalated with the DSP, but have heard nothing since. Can anything be done to resolve this before the closing date?

    Hi Luluk,

    Thank you for your query.

    In relation to your query with the Department of Social Protection, we would suggest contacting them directly on 0761 087 890 or 1890 100 043.

    I can check our systems to ensure that your account details where updated accurately when you contacted Irish Water. If you wish for us to do this, would you mind sending the following details via PM:

    - Name;
    - Address; and
    - Contact Number.

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards,
    Niall

    Thanks Niall, I called the DSP. They told me that they are aware of my situation and will contact me towards the end of October. They did not confirm if I will get my grant. I get the impression that they really have no idea what to do about it.
