do people look down on people who have Cleaning jobs ??

people litter the whole time and i find thats showing a bit of disrespect to cleaners but the people littering are saying it gives the cleaners something to do.

the sad thing if some dickhead went up to a cleaner and threw a load of rubbish and walked off the cleaner would have to clean it up.

imo any job is better than sitting at home collecting dole

Littering is a dirty and disrespectful habit no matter how you look at it.

"Sure, doesn't matter if we contaminate this land, gives the civil engineering and waste management firms something to do."

"Toss it on the ground, give a cleaner something to do."

Hey, it's not your* bloody job to create work and trouble for someone else. Put your waste in the bin, dammit.

...Give the bin collectors something to do :P

    *general "you", not OP-you.

I actually respect cleaners more because of the sh*t they have to put up with. (sometimes literally)

**** no, a jobs a job and fair play to them.

says more of people who would look down on them for actually trying to earn a wage. I think cleaners are the most down to earth, good natured people you could find anywhere, none of that uppity shi!t you may get from the ''higher ups''. you could be walking out of your workplace after a crap day dealing with idiots in suits, bump into the cleaner and have the most sobering conversation in your whole time there. no airs or graces. its nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.

I don't just sometimes pity the ones that have to deal with public bathrooms as some people are manky, crap smearing on wall, feckers.

Nope not me. The only profession I would actually have contempt for is Banking.

I've a huge amount of respect for cleaners etc... and especially those that clean in my workplace.
Drives me mad when i see the way some of my colleagues leave the toilets... toilet paper everywhere, blocked or chewing gum in urinals.
Some people just don't seem to understand someone has to clean up after them..

Why would anyone look down on a cleaner? It's an often thankless job, and usually underpaid. It's honest work though, people who do it deserve the same respect as anyone else.

Cleaning jobs paid my way through college from undergrad to PhD. I did some manky jobs, worst was cleaning the toilets of a Lesuireplex complex on a Saturday or Sunday morning whilst it was still full of pissed dickheads too fcuked up to **** let alone piss in a straight line. I did that for two feckin years.

Fcuk no. The cleaners in my job are seriously important, and they have to put up with all sorts.

My mam and my nanny cleaned houses when I was growing up to make ends meet. Hard honest work.

    I hate people who litter.
You will probably find the eastern European is eminently more qualified than the Muppet they are cleaning up after but are cleaning just due to not being able to get a job in their chosen field due to language barriers.

I dont think there are any jobs that I would look down on.

Nearly every business requires someone to clean, if its not the cleaner then the programmer has to take out a vacuum cleaner are do around his/her desk now and again.

Same here. I am lucky enough to have the job I have...but no doubt about it I would do any job that paid in order to put food on the table and look after my family.
Too proud to do those jobs? No, too proud to claim the dole when there are jobs available.

Feck all wrong with any cleaning job.

Personally I wouldn't even leave a tray on the table of a fast food joint. Any Kunt that does, is a right prick. I have the highest amount of respect for anyone that cleans a toilet and in return I wouldn't leave a mess there either.
