Please tell me there is some place in limerick I can just call in and do this.....Not really interested in Halfords but if that's all that is available then so be it.

Basically GF car has 16 inch alloys came from factory (Ford Fiesta) and the roads she uses going too and from work are Awful , and Not worth the while repairing again(4th time). , So I want to get 15inch alloys so I can get a bit more tire wall . Currently takes 195-45-R16 but if i put a 55 on it rubs the arch.

    Thomond Tyres can probably help.
Unless you need them asap I'd keep looking online and get them shipped to you. This gives you a better selection and pricing.
Get a tyre place to commit to swapping the old tyres over to the new alloys.

He can't do that going from 16" to 15" alloys.
Try Abbey Tyres in Abbeyfeale. 40 minute spin out the road.

I've seen alloys for sale in I.C. motor factors in Kilmallock.

185/55R15 look like a good match to what's on it now btw

nice enough alloys but , have been seen better days and have had to repair each of them at least once. I would love to blame her driving but I cannot , The Road is just ****e, one Pot hole gets fixed or a section resurfaced you go around the bend and a crater has formed that was not there the day before . With on coming traffic you have no where to go only into it. The low profile on the tyre just means the rim gets hammered .

Nowt wrong with 16" alloys on a Fiesta. If the roads are really that bad why not slow down a little on them?

p.s. Is the suspension lowered or uprated?

Nope not lowered or Uprated , The alloys would be perfectly fine in around the city or constant motorway driving but with sections of the roads around Newport are awful and ever changing. Also forgot to add lot of miles up on the car and it needs to last for more.

I have had Tipperary CC pay for the repair and tires before . but that is a long process.

Would a set of steelies not do the job? Cheap and cheerful and you can throw the alloys in the shed should you ever want them in future?

That is a valid point , one that I will make ....
