Bought a brand new Seat Ibiza. The garage are pushing a warranty that covers the first three services and costs €468 (€13 a month for three years).

Am a I right in thinking that's expensive? I currently pay €80-€120 with a local garage for a service but he is not an authorised dealer.

Service is a generic term that can cover very little to alot. You need to ask them what exactly is covered (in detail) in each of the 3 services.

    Here's the list:

    He is getting two x €129 service (€258) and a €245 service.

You don't get a whole lot for your €129

Is there much someone can do though if they want to keep it dealer serviced?

If you want to go to a seat dealer you have to cough up.

Tough call. If you're definitely keeping the car 3 years then it makes sense as you don't feel it

Plan is to definitely keep it three years, if not more.

I was told this enables me to bring it to any Seat authorised dealer nationwide.

I don't think that's great value tbh. I've paid a good bit less at a main dealer for 3 by the book services in the last year on a diesel Leon. The fixed price servicing can they advertise doesn't seem to be uniform when you price around a few and many were doing minor ones for €99.
