    so its a twin wall SS flue, fixed to gable end outside.
    Pretty savage looking alright, u will need to build something fireproof around it.
    Does the stove meet the fire regs of space around it

    It's in my sisters house and she thought all she would see was the black pipe neatly disappearing into the wall.
    The plumber said it meets safety regs.

    That stainless steel pipe also comes in black too. Make sure there's a permenantly open vent in the room

    are the walls concrete block plastered or are they slabed with plasterboard as others have said stove is to close to walls for building regs have a look here

    how is it sealed outside? Will catch water running under the flue.

    the flue is going through block cavity wall, plastered. Its the back of the house, theres patio doors just to the left of the photo. The wall on the right is the gable with a sunroom on the other side.

    Basically she's changing the dinning table area of her kitchen into a sitting room style area with sofas etc. This stove will be the focal point.

    Is what this plumber done normal, should it look like this ? Or should she insist he redoes it ?
