Except it's not leather, it's plastic.

I stand corrected.... it's a faux leather jacket.

I read a couple of good reviews. You could always get her one and keep the receipt then she can return it if she likes.

If you think it's her style then why not take a chance and treat her to it? And as Miaireland points out, if she's not a fan you can always trade it in for some nice steaks!
Maybe look for some guidance on sizing, my mum has bought a few bits in Lidl over the years and always has to go up a size or two for the right fit, I don't know if others have had the same experience.

I bought a faux leather jacket in H&M in Munich a few years ago. I wore it over a t-shirt and it was comfortable to wear in the -5 degrees streets of Munich in November. Anytime I went inside I had to take it off or I was sweating big time within minutes. It looked good on me, but from a temperature point of view, it was like wearing an immersion tank lagging jacket.

A decent leather jacket is cool to the touch (and the look).

OP, if I was you, I'd save up a bit and but get her a real leather jacket.

It's got good reviews online. Buy it and see does she like it. If she hates it Lidl are generally very good to return items with very few questions asked.

I personally wouldn't like a gift like that. I probably sound ungrateful but I'm not. I love presents what girl doesn't. Its something I might buy for myself but if I got it as a present I wouldn't be happy.
