Sink Pipes, Tiny Leak

I replaced a kitchen worktop over the weekend and had to take the sink out and fit it into the new worktop, I connected the sink using some of the tape for the threads of the pipe to create a seal, only went around the threads once and tightened up as much as I could, its one of those beige pipes to copper for both pipes.

I've since noticed a small bit of water comes from the top of the bolt where the pipe goes into the bolt on both hot and cold pipes, its a trickle, you'd be lucky to dampen a cloth over 48 hours with the amount coming out.

Should I unscrew the joints and put more tape on the thread or is there something else I need to/can do?

Can you take a photo of the joints where you applied the tread sealing tape?

Depending on the type of joint, the tape might be doing more harm than good. In many plumbing fittings the treads don't act as a seal, there's a rubber washer or an olive that acts as the seal. So the tread sealing tape isn't normally used.

Yes as said some of those tap fittings have a rubber seal in them which you might have lost when you took it off. but one wrap of ptfe tape is not enough. Try putting a few more wraps of it on at a slight taper. You're looking for it to tighten and seal the more it travels up the threads.
