High spec hardtail vs basic full suspension

Hi,

I've been getting into mtb recently and have decided to upgrade my giant revel with the BTW scheme so as title says I can get a really good hardtail

The spec on the Raid is pretty similar to the Cannondale to be honest mate, and it is very reasonable for a trail full suspension.

1100 will get you a better hard tail than that if you shop around, You'll probably get one with an air fork rather than a spring one, something like a rockshox reba. You'll probably get a pretty nice giant talon for that money, or maybe a left over 2015 stance if you fancy full suspension, has a similar group set as the Raid, but I'm 99% sure they came with an air fork, which is better as it can be tuned to your weight by pumping it up, whereas you're always compromising with a spring fork.

Honestly though, you won't be disappointed with either bike, full suss will be more confidence inspiring on the descents, but the hard tail will be easier to pedal up the hills

Shudda mentioned that I sometimes cycle to work so maybe hardtail wud be better option for that
Although full suspension might not be too bad it's only 8k

What kid of trails will you be hitting?

Also have you considered Giant again? They do have good spec for the money, just got a Trance and am quite pleased with it.

Also what about Canyon, people sometimes forget that they do awesome MTb also!
