So sorry to wreck your heads about Irish Water. I'm sure we're all sick of hearing the name.

Obviously, I'm a little uneducated in this which is why I'm asking, but basically all morning the washing machine and the hot water taps weren't working as well as the cold tap losing most of it's pressure. I doubt we were alone as by the looks of it, someone on the road called Irish Water or the local county council.

So the chap shows up a few minutes ago and opens up one of the water mains on the road, gives it a few turns with his metal rod (wahey) and then presto...... a mother****in' monstrosity of water starts shooting out at least 4ft in the air. Your man just acts cool as it casually floods the feckin' road. He gives it 5 minutes before the water is only spouting to about 1ft in height, closes it up and fecks off to wherever.

My question is basically asking, are we gonna be charged for this now?
We didn't call, but technically we were effected. We haven't paid any of the water charges yet and I can't see it happening in the future.

I'm guessing your water meter (if you have one at all) is on the side of the mains that didn't shoot a 300 meters tall geyser into the air.
