Airport Questions

    Hi Guys,

I have booked a flight on Ebookers as follows, SNN - LAX with a stop over in LHR.

How long before my flight should I be at Shannon? Is the short haul time of 1/2 hours before take off enough (as this first flight is only to Heathrow) or will I need to be there earlier as its a connecting flight to LAX.

As I booked a through flight and not separately, will my 23kg bag be free from SNN (on the short haul to LHR) to LAX?

Also I have a 5 hour layover in LHR so any suggestions on what we can do for this time. My carrier from LHR - LAX is Virgin. Is the Virgin Clubhouse worth it to relax for the few hours or a waste of money?

I have flown to America before but it was DUB-ORD-LAX so we cleared US Customs in Dublin but as we were going straigh to America and didnt have a stop over in UK/Europe I was there 3 hours beforehand.

    Thanks

2 hours because you have to check a bag seems fine.

If it's a through flight the baggage allowance should be for all sectors (if you type in your details on virgin-atlantic.com it'll tell you the luggage allowance for all 4 flights)

Virgin Clubhouse is a great experience, but it's a personal decision to you as to whether it's worth it tbh.

You won't need to be there any earlier than you normally would for short haul.

Your baggage will be free on the Aer Lingus leg.

If you are eligible to get in: the Clubhouse is a great place to be. If not flying Upper Class or you don't have status you can sometimes purchase day passes, but they're at the discretion of the staff on a space available basis (this may not even still happen).
