G ' day from Oz. What are your views on EMDR or amygdala desensitization techniques such as "Havening"? Mostly of interest to me from a dental phobia viewpoint.
    Thanks.

EMDR seems to have some evidence base, but I don't think anyone knows HOW it works.

    Never heard of the other.

There are well tried and tested techniques for dealing with phobias, and especially dental and medical where people often have paradoxical reactions. Treatment is based on behavioural principles, stretching waaay back to the 50s and probably before then. Oh well, every generation must play with new toys and disregard the stuff that actually works.
