Thinking about getting an Adamo for my road bike for general use. Does anyone use one and how do you find it?

Is there any where in Ireland doing a trial scheme or in the UK/Europe by mail order?

I've done this before wih prologo and other brands. Buy a test saddle to try out then return if you don't like it.

i got a prologue for my tt bike recently and it is like night and day. Really recomended for the TT bike, but no idea on the road bike.

Does the idea of a 3 hr + ride on it sound like madness or doable?

did about 2.5 hrs on the tt bike and it was ok.

My bike came with a Fizik Antares which, I very quickly realized, was not the one for me.

I tried out an Adamo Attack from my LBS and, as lennymc said, the difference was like night and day. There is a period of "conditioning" as the pressure is distributed differently to a regular saddle, but I immediately felt the benefit. I use it on my road bike and have since convinced a couple of fellow roadies over here of the benefits.

A quick google shows that Wheelworx have Adamo saddles; give them a buzz re trial/demo saddles they should have.

I have the adamo typhoon. Love it. I 've done the ring of Kerry on it twice. Had serious problems with previous saddle. None with this. When new bike arrives in January I'll probably upgrade it's saddle to one of the slightly firmer saddles from same range.

I've the race on my road bike and the TT on my TT. Find them comfortable for an all day spin.

Have a road on the track bike, it's the comfiest saddle I have ever sat on. I think all saddles should look like that! Why there's a nose where you need it least in normal saddles is beyond me!

ETA I have only ridden it for a few hours at a time so I'm not sure how comfy it would be on a long spin, but i'm guessing fine!

How can you "be on the rivet" on an ISM saddle tho? :)
On the "paralell anatomically designed support arms" doesn't have the same ring to it

Yup you can. Before I got a saddle extender I used to ride on the very edge of the parallel anatomically designed support arms, I used to prop myself against it if you know what I mean, not actually sit in on it at all, not even on the i-can't-believe-it's-not-a-nose-nose. Now it's more forward I sit in the middle of it for pursuit which is much comfier. But yeah you can totally ride on the rivet. I did it for months!

    Adamo Prologue, best investment eva!
Takes a while to get used to it but worth the short time of discomfort
140 was my longest spin with this sadsle, no soreness at the end
Base2race have most of them, you can pay a deposit and try them for up to two weeks
