Watching it on TV3 at the minute. Pretentiousness off the chart. Sauce ala geebag. What would you serve up for a three course dinner party?

French opinion soup. Calamari. Beef stew and apple pie is mine.

    Strawberry shortcake

    Pavlova

Is that not four courses? The calamari's an odd choice in there between heavy onion soup and a beef stew.

Veg soup. So popular yet very hard to get right. Nine times out of ten its salty broth served in Dublin restaurants.

Veg Soup is very easy. I think most people make the mistake of trying to make it too fancy.

Theres a thread in the food and drink forum about the perfect burger and most people seem to agree, the worst thing you can do to a burger is try to make it fancy.

I would agree with that. Keep it simple. Simple food can be great food.

Try and be a bit classy. Spice bags are the remnants of a kebab. We do a 3-1.

    Mine wouldn't be though.

Chicken would be corn fed and the chips would be handcut and fried in coconut oil.

I bought Franks wing sauce from Tesco.

    Would you recommend it?
