Varnishing bricks?

    Hi guys,
I've laid a line of some red building bricks in the garden (see pic below) as a border between grass and gravel. They look great when wet, but they dry out a dusty white, not so great. I was very careful to keep them clean when setting in place. I'd like to keep the vibrant red there all the time. Is it possible to coat these bricks in some sort of varnish, or PVA so the nice red is visible all the time? Whats the easiest/cheapest solution?
    Thanks
