I recently (yesterday) bought all the parts for my new pc and I was wondering if anyone could suggest the best 1440p monitor for gaming. I have looked at so many already and just cannot seem to decide which is best, so any help would be appreciated. My budget is about 400 to 600 euro for one.

To narrow it down a bit. What games are you planning on playing and what are your system specs?
    Tn vs Ips
    Or 60hz vs 144 hz
    Freesync vs gsync
    Soo many options

so many options that's why I am just over my head tbh. I have an intel 4690k, gtx 970, 8gb ram. I will be playing all the new games, gta, counter strike, witcher. basically anything new but not just them I would not be playing witcher at 1440p i dunno if my specs could but as for hz id like 144, and as for the freesunc or gsync I am looking for opinions on which same goes for tn and ips

A 970 will push The Witcher and GTAV at 1440p60 anyways, may chug a little.

It'll play all but the most demanding games at 100fps+

Oh right, never mind then. Do you have any monitor suggestions, it's the only thing I cant seem to settle on..

Your looking for a G-sync IPS monitor so.
(IPS for the most vivid colours, Tn for faster response times, better for FPS games. Your games seem to be a mix of fps and others)

This is a TN pannel that is 1080p but looks like its roughly in your budget

Also TN but ticks all your boxes otherwise

Ticks all your boxes apart from cost

There will likely be more monitors released closer to christmas so if you have a screen and can wait, consider that option too.

Good luck with your hunt.. Im in the market for a Freesync version myself and I was looking at this , ~Tn but seems to be one of the better TN screens

all ill say is don't go glossy

i have one of those korean 27 inchers and while i can adjust to the (minor enough to be fair) backlight bleed and ips glow, the ****ing constant reflection of my butt ugly face drives me demented.

Good point. Matte might be the coating you should go for so.

What about this monitor, it's 1440p 60hrtz do you think this is a good choice, But I was wondering if this monitor was say playing in 1080p would the refresh rate still be 60 or could it go higher than that.

the monitor is the BenQ GW2765HT

Nope, that monitor is 60 Hz no matter what resolution you pick.

I got the Acer XB270HU recently (27", 2560x1440 IPS, 144 Hz and G-sync). I consider it the best of the options listed in this thread. The only trouble is that it's a bit more expensive and quality control has been spotty so you need to be prepared to return/exchange immediately if you spot any problems.

Yeah I was looking at that one and I have decided to just go with a 1080 144 monitor till around Christmas hopefully prices come down by then and I can get one closed to budget. Going with the benq XL2411T seems a good choice to me.
