Hi, I just received an email from office@ros.ie about a tax refund.
Is this for real or a scam, seem dodgy to me
To access your tax refund, please follow the steps bellow:
    - Download the Tax Refund attached to this email
    - Open it in a browser
    - Follow the instructions on your screen

If it is a scam how can they have access to ros.ie emails?

scam and falsified email address I'd say

if in doubt contact ros directly but do not download anything from an unsolicited email or follow the links to what is probably a fake site

Scam. Delete it. Revenue never process tax refunds this way. They way it is done is called spoofing. Simply they can pretend to be ROS by adjusting the from field and other fields in the email. It is commonly exploited by spammers but also has legitimate uses eg. I do it when sending out email newsletters of behalf of clients. The clues will be in the email headers showing what server the email really originated from, which won't be a irlgov server.

I'm still getting multiple emails from this address. One every day. But luckily it goes straight to spam for me!

Same here - one a day, every day, for the last two weeks. Goes straight to spam though, so I just batch delete them every few days.
