Just looking at the Luxobarge thread and all the good big engined stuff being flogged for pennies and in some cases exported never to see these shores again, got me thinking are there any car museums in Ireland. I know there's a transport museum in Howth, Dublin but i am unaware of any others which are purely dedicated to cars in any part of the country. Are there any car museums in Ireland?

Best way to see interesting cars would be car meets and classic car shows. Not much in way of car museums.

There used to be one in Clonmel, may still be there.

Edit: still there, called the Museum of Transport, Gurtnafleur business park.

Edit 2: very old thread here:http://touch.boards.ie/thread/233224

There was a great museum in Killarney, alas it closed so the site could be developed as a hotel and the cars auctioned off.
Loved going there as a kid shame its gone.
