We were hoping to get away with our 15, 10 and 4 year old in October bank holiday. We were thinking of going back to Trabolgan but we were there Easter break and would love to find somewhere else to try. Have tried looking online but most of the hotels with kids clubs, etc for kids only have rooms for 2 plus 2 kids and we couldn't afford to get a second room.

    Thanks in advance :-)

Not sure how far you want to travel but the Holyrood hotel in Bundoran has a fab kids club and caters for big families

Ensure when making your reservation that you refer to your family as a family of 5. Not all sites accommodate a family of 5 but if you phoned them up, some would go the extra mile to assist and arrange extra bedding options.

Try not to rock up to your chosen accommodation if you can only find online showing only for family of 2+2. They would need to have sufficient bedding for everyone, even if 1child wants to share a bed.
They would need exact numbers also, more importantly, for health & safety in event an alarm for example goes off. They would need to account for everyone. Some families risk this putting pressure on their chosen accommodation then last minute when they arrive.
^^^ Just speaking as someone who worked as Senior Front-Desk Operative for years and been landed in every known possibility by guests arriving. A solution can always be found though in my opinion ;) but it's nicer to have them prepared.

You could ask for a suite as they're normally larger, sometimes divided 2rooms into 1 with just a light dividing door between main bedroom for adults and room with kiddies bedding.

Have you thought of Killarney per chance? Plenty family-availability for a family of 5, just ask for a suite and state the ages for the kiddies :)

    Hope that helps,

Castleross in Killarney has some family rooms with a double and 3 single. My brother and family stayed last year and the room was huge. They have a pool, golf and tennis courts too I think.
