It's like with Masked wrestlers. Their biggest fear or greatest defeat is
    if their opponent unmasks them.

It looks like someone cropped the top of his head off in Photoshop.

How can any heterosexual man look at that picture and focus on the guys hat?

We can talk about The Edge's hat, while simultaneously caring about all kinds of things.

    Amazing, but true.

I'm sitting here, thinking about the Edges hat, whether or not to make tea, considering taking a nap, looking at a poster of a blue whale, and listening to the radio. ALL AT THE SAME TIME!!!!

    I'm impressed ;)

I've even been known to walk and talk at the same time. Even I find it hard to wrap my head around that one!

Out of curiosity, how do you go about wrapping your head around something such as an idea, metaphor etc? It would make sense if it were food rather than an idea, cause you are literally wrapping your head around each biteful.

Stay tuned for tomorrow when I tackle an even bigger issue...The Big Issue.

Forget Edge what about his daughter? She's a lash.

When my friend gives me a mug or plate of something, she always says 'Get yourself outside of that!'. It always freaks me out, just a little. :)

I had to think about that for a minute.:pac:

I would have liked to see him walk down the aisle with one of those wedding top hats. And then to remove it afterwards with beanie still in place.

Now that would have been a real moment!

A moment you just get stuck in. ;)

Actually, Edge has the beanie attached, Bono has the sunglasses welded on, Adam Clayton's got the Andy Warhol hair....does Larry Mullins have anything characteristic hanging off him

It's actually a balaclava and he pulled it down immediately after the ceremony to go off and commit some crime.

    CRIME AGAINST MUSIC, AMIRITE GUYS?!?

You think so? If it was down to receding hair surely he would have had a Jimmy Nesbit by now. I'm a 100% heterosexualist but even I can see that he is a far handsomer man without it. Another pic here.

That's the first time I've seen him without it! He is a good looking guy for his age alright.

I don't mind bald myself, but it's often the case that it bothers some men enough to keep it covered. Maybe he's just happier in his beanie, but it does look very out of place with a wedding suit.

I just googled Jimmy Nesbitt. IMO he looked better before!

Everybody looks better in a hat in fairness.

    Here's a selfie I took earlier

He wears it in any public photo/video so he can become relatively unrecognisable just by not wearing it - reduce the level of attention on him when he just wants to go about his day.

I met him (and his wife) quite a few times, a few years ago through work. He was an absolute gent and she was lovely too. Found them to be very down to earth and sincere.

    Yeah, I think so too.

Some people just look better going bald.
Imagine Patrick Stewart or Bruce Willis with hair. Would be mad, Ted.

There are some exceptions though, as I think both Declan Donnelly and Rob Brydon look better with theirs.

I'd love to go into work some day with dreadlocks on and pretend like it's the most natural thing in the world!

Yes, those two do have the edge(!) I think, but none of the others look better for it. It detracts a bit from the character of their faces or something.

I was watching Sir Patrick last night in his new show. He was hilarious, and looking great for his age, hair would only ruin the guy :)

This is quite risque. Somewhat NSFW and a maybe few other places too.
And is also unsuitable for those of a nervous disposition.

Was he wearing the hat though? If not what was underneath?

It's starting to look like a psychological issue at this point .Anyone remember the "never nudes" in Arrested Development? he always make me think of that.
He'd be grand looking but the hat is just plain weird at this stage.

While at the U2 concert in Lansdowne Road in 97 we somehow got pretty close to the stage thinking this is great. Right then someone chucked a finished apple at The Edge landing perfectly on his cowboy hat:D
