Anyone know anything about this staring system . I have a 2009 AA cow with a 1 star rating and a 2003 AA cow with a 5 star rating . Anyone know how they come up with the Star Ratings ?

What I would classify my best (black Angus) cow has 5 stars. She calved at 20 months to a Char bull (very good at jumping!) and since then she had a calf every year almost on the dot. She has 2 daughters from the same AI bull - one is 5 star and the other is 3. The only obvious difference is approx 11 months in their ages.
I have another red Angus heifer that, to look at, is a fine animal and she has only 2 stars. She is in calf to AI and I have no plans on selling her. I'm curious now to see what her offspring's rating will turn out to be.
This genotyping calf scheme will involve a lot of head scratching methinks.
It's going to be awful hard if you can't predict offspring's ratings. Might be easier to win the Lotto.
