    Hi
    a family member's business uses a domain registered with Eircom, with Eircom DSL.

    As of today, the staff are receiving a message when they try to send outgoing mail through mail1.eircom.net

    Sending reported error (0x800CCC6F) {aka smtp 554}
    Your outgoing e-mail server has reported an internal error ...
    The server responded g54 avas02.vendorsvc.cra.dublin.eircom.net Cloudmark Gateway
    {businesses eircom DSL dynamic IP here} Blacklisted by Cloudmark:

    I tried to get info from Cloudmark, but Cloudmark will not remove the blacklist from a dynamic IP.

    So either
       they need to rent a smarthost to accept email,
       a static IP address and rDNS ptr record
    or Eircom needs to allow it's own dynamic IPs to send mail to mail1.eircom.net.

    Or if PM'ed with the IP, can you confirm whether some machine within this premises was/is delivering spam due to some malware, or are they inheriting the reputation of a previous holder of the dynamic IP.

    Thanks,

    Hi ressem

    I'm sorry but that best advice I can offer is to contact eircoms email support team. Ultimately Support can only assist the email account holder with queries or issues so it may best to ask one of the account holders to call.

    Email support can be contacted on Local 1890260260 if the email account is associated with an active email account however if it is not the number to call is 1530277100 (charges at 33c per min)

    Thanks
    Al
