    Hi All

I am getting a new bike - first one since I got a bike from Santa! :pac:
Through BTW scheme with Quay Cycles Drogheda.

I've a voucher for €750 and hope to get all the accessories in this.

The shop recommended this Trek 7.2- it's €625 in the shop.
I want it so I can stop driving everywhere, but am open to using for fitness so want to get one that will cater for both!

Is this a good choice, or should I be looking at something else?

    Thanks!

Trek are a very reputable brand and the bike recommended would be fine for some general purpose cycling or commuting but if you had any notions of joining a cycling club or doing charity sportives a road bike like this would be more appropriate.

That one would be a bit more expensive, you'd have to haggle with the bike shop but there are other options out there as well.

Whatever you buy, make sure the fit is right.

The trek 7.2 FX is a good bike - but the 7.3 is better!

Check this thread to see somebody else buying the 7.3 model for just €10 more.

I have the 7.3 myself and its a great bike
