Looking for advice please- couple of acres of land some in forest most in grass and looking to clear it of briars/ long grass and fence it off for putting some animals in in ie pony for the kids or goat. Lot of trees. Need pruning back on site and few drains needing sorted. Was advised mini digger with a loader would do most of the work but was looking at a compact tractor as an option also. Budget is 4/5 k euro not much I know! And the mini diggers seem like hens teeth compared to a few year ago. Thanks in advance.

id be inclined to buy a tractor, more work for it afterwards.
Hire in a man with a digger. A good man on a digger will get an amount of work done in a small time . if you have no experience yourself it will take you forever to do a job and it wont be as tidy

Would you be as well off getting a guy with a hedge trimmer first- he'd fly through rough grass and scrub- and bring the hedges right back -
