Do you notice what your acquaintances wear?

As a bloke, I don't really notice what any of my acquaintances wear. Sure I might notice if someone was wearing a short skirt or a low cut blouse but it is probably the legs and cleavage I notice. And I would notice if someone who normally dresses casually wears a suit. But I would have no idea if it was the same suit that I saw them wear previously. I would probably notice someone who was dressed in purple or yellow or pink. But I would not be able to recollect if someone had worn the same dress at a wedding as they had at a previous wedding. I would not be able to say if someone at work was dressed the same as the day before. To be honest, I can't remember what anyone I met today was wearing. I have a friend who can describe exactly what everyone at a function was wearing. Do you notice what people are wearing?

I always notice sexy and classy girls, high heels and if someone wears the same clothes for days.

No, never. Half the time I'm not even aware of what I'm wearing.

Most of the time, no. It would have to be especially eye-catching.

I only notice when people wear clothes that clearly don't suit them.

It would want to be really strange stuff. Like someone who usually dresses in shirt and jeans, coming into work as a Teddy boy

    They mostly wear clothes.

Except this one guy who protests at VAT on clothing. He cames in attired in a paper suit which he had contrived by taking the relevant Finance Act apart and sewing the pages together in the semblance of a jacket and trousers, claiming that was all he could afford.

While he demonstrats that he knows how to use his writs one couldn't help feeling that he's just putting on an Act.

Same, it would have to be pretty remarkable for me to notice. Remarkable in either a good or a bad way.

I do notice bags though, I appreciate a nice shoulder bag.

If they're hot I usually pay attention and try to spot what they're potentially not wearing... knickers, bras etc.

I take everything in, and yes, I can recall with a freakish degree of accuracy someone's appearance at a particular occasion, not so much what they were wearing on a particular day, but if they wore the same garment before, I would notice, but it's not something I'd normally pass comment on.

If they look well I might compliment them on their appearance, only occasionally though, in order to avoid any confusion or appearance of insincerity, aka fawning over someone's appearance.

If they're a grown man wearing a slim fitting suit though, I often struggle to disguise my distaste for their taste. I've yet to see a man who can make a slim fitting suit look good. I just do not get the idea of them at all at all and I simply cannot take any man wearing one seriously, because I feel that he isn't taking himself seriously walking into my office looking like an overgrown elf!

Well if they are wearing smart attire it would imply a sub rosa job interview.

I've a mate who for some bizarre reason always buys his clothes about two sizes too small. He'd be looking for an auld compliment for looking sharp but usually just gets slagged.
Other than that I'd only really notice something unusual.

Nope. Not unless it was very bright or flamboyant.

That is bizarre. Sharp isn't a word I would use when describing someone who keeps buying clothes that are too small.

He is not even a big man but always asks for opinions on a new item of clothing he has purchased. I'd never slag him as he is a nice bloke but he does get a going over by others.

If he bought clothes two sizes too small he wouldn't physically fit into them.

I don't pay any attention to what men wear but I notice if women are wearing something I like or that really suits them. I wouldn't remember what everyone was wearing but just if a certain person had a lovely dress or nice shoes.
