    Hello,

I have a 22 inch TV with a HDMI input lying around somewhere.

I'd like to use it as a Netflix/Youtube client... and nothing else really. (Internet supplied by Wi-Fi or possibly Ethernet). And I'd like to do it without breaking the bank.

Could you recommend a device that would be cheapest while still doing the job?

If you have any decent sort of mobile iOS or android phone, a chromecast will work perfect. <€40.

    Chromecast

Seriously though, if all you need is Netflix or Youtube then this is the best. If you are looking for something more powerful then an Android TV box. There is a thread here about which is the best.

A standalone device is needed. Children who do not have regular access to a smartphone will be watching this TV.

For example, what about this one? http://addictedtoandroid.com/uhost-u1a-android-4-0-4-tv-stick-mini-pc.html

A run through the forum found the Amazon Fire TV Stick, but it does not deliver to Ireland. Of course I could try to get around the restriction with Parcel Motel, but does this mean their warranty is void in Ireland?

Although not Android based, the Roku Streaming Stick is great. I have 2 of them. They have Netflix and YouTube "channels" as Roku calls apps

I think they are about €70 in PCWorld.

    Thanks!

I did think of having email available on it in a pinch, but this is not a priority, so perhaps I should give the Roku stick a go. Getting something from a local store, so that I can go back there if something goes wrong, is definitely a bonus. (I am in Limerick and we do have a PC World here).

    Thanks!

Question: if I plug USB speakers into a USB port on the Stoga, will it output audio to them?
