What's the future of water charges?

I haven't been listening to the news much, the only thing I hear about is upcoming water protests.

Do you think the government will give in to these protests despite all the money already spent installing meters? Or do you think people will give up protesting and start paying?

I'm aware of threads about the water charges already existing but I wanted to make another thread to discuss what the future of the charges looks like.

    The future is water charges.
Seems like the fairest way to fund a dilapidated system.

Sadly, Irish Water. Followed eventually by the full privatisation of Irish Water.

Read their charter before posting. They even have an Irish Water megathread.
