I got zero last season right so I'm going off the wall with my predictions...


1. Atletico - my one 'sane' guess he's been too close too often

2. Athletic Club - D2 is incredibly strong this year but the gaffer is quality and I reckon he could do it

3 Malaga - simple, back to back promotions

4. Flamengo - good squad, good gaffer

I was going to say Schalke but with the surprise winners (somewhat, no offence! ) of the divisions last season I went for more off the wall suggestions, hate to say it but Schalke with the 'favorite' tag :P

Div 1- the 3 Spanish sides are always in the mix so going to pick one at random and say Barcelona.

Div 2- Man City, one of strongest sides in the GW so should be champions. Lazio for second spot, third time lucky for Athletic in play-off spots.

Div 3- Schalke. Strongest team and squad in the division. florentina should go close. Panathinaikos or Anderlecht for play-offs, excellent managers.

Div 4- Flamengo to bounce straight back up, Lyon to run them close. Wolfsburg to go up via play-offs.

Div 1 - Bayern Munich - there are many that could but I'm gonna go for the team that has Aguero
Div 2 - Man City - on paper it shouldn't be anyone else (but it can be also be argued that on paper they shouldn't be here at all)
Div 3 - Estudiantes - he's on a roll and he is dangerous
Div 4 - Flamengo - just because I love Perrin (he should start posting here more often again)

On a personal note, the mighty Athletic Club will finish 7th - I couldn't bare it if I made the playoffs and failed again so if it looks like I'm finishing 3rd to 6th I'm playing my youth team until I fall back out again - cool?

I know 1, 2 or all promoted teams have stayed up in the past ... I looked through the D1 list, I wasnt going to nominate myself or Napoli ... we've been the plucky over achievers for last few seasons now :cool: ... there will probabyl be a big casualty but I decided against 'shock' predictions

Division 1:
Surely Barcelona will triumph this year after getting so close on numerous occasions, with both Bayern and Atletico a close second and third respectively.

Division 2:
This has to belong to City. Anything else would be considered an unmitigated disaster from City's perspective. Athletic Bilbao to snatch second, after being the bridesmaid for so long. Neymar to fire Lazio up via the playoffs.

Division 3:
With the arrival of Newcastle, Schalke, and, from the other direction, Malaga, this is going to be one of the toughest D3s yet from the perspective of the teams who were already. However, it also has the potential to be one of the most noncompetitive ones should a couple of teams at the top end up running away from the rest of the pack. I see Newcastle to make a swift return by winning the division in style considering they have Buffon to stop opposition strikers from scoring, and then Aubameyang at the other end to bang them in! Malaga to go up in second after they strengthened their attacking options, ending their over reliance on one "Isco".

Schalke also to make a swift return via the playoffs.

Division 4:
Andrea Pirlo will simply destroy teams in Division 4 on his own, sending Sao Paulo up in style. Flamengo to make an immediate and automatic return to D3, along with Wolfsburg who must be content with a playoff spot.

Div 1- eeneey meeney didn't quite work out for me!

Div 2- City were a lock, and I'm sure athletic would have done it if hercule stayed in place!

Div 3- top 2 bang on, panathinaikos very unlucky to lose out in play-offs.

Div 4- Wolfsburg up, other 2 fell in play-offs.
