    Hi guys,

I have an interview this week with large Dublin-based law firm for an internship role.
My interview is with 2 HR officials.
I am just wondering what kind of questions I should prepare for, beyond the general CV/Experienced based ones.. Is there a strong possibility of getting some commercially based questions?

Thanks in advance guys, I just don't want to get blindsided on the day!

Did a few of these in September/October last year. They were all pretty smooth and were quite natural so don't be overly worried. The main thing first of all after having been through them and having done a couple internships this summer is enthusiasm and showing interest in the form and the job.

A consistent theme of all the interviews was questions around teamwork. Things like if there's a problem in your team how would you react, how do you cope when somebody disagrees with you, what role do you perform as part of a team. Try and have lots of examples ready to go. Make sure to keep them clear and concise.

You should definitely have in your head a couple of examples of where you've shown commercial awareness. Even if it's something like having an economics minor in college or even better a placement/work experience in a business.

Keep an eye on the papers, particularly the business section in the days running up to it. You don't need to be an expert but a general idea with a decent point on a subject looks good.

Know about the firm and what its primary areas are. If you can find online about deals or cases they've been involved in even better.

Just try and relax and be as natural as possible when you're in there.

    Best of luck with it!
