In case you're Googling them, they're not in Stillorgan, it's Mount Merrion.

The most recent post I can see about them on boards is the last post in this thread ....

At least they finally tidied up their premises , looking a bit more respectable now. wonder how they get their hands on so many tasty motors and undercut everyone else ? they sell hell of alot of cars but have read lots of bad reports online

    Hi OP
I usually just read posts here but I felt compelled to reply. Do not buy anything from these shower of gangsters. I bought from them in the past and it was a big mistake. No certificate of ownership with car and they also charged me for a timing belt that they did not change.
Got nothing but abuse from them when I tried to sort it out.
Save yourself the hassle and hard earned cash and buy from a reputable dealer.

Bought from them in the last year. Was happy enough but they were slow to have the car ready for the pick up

As someone else said their prices are near to private so you are not buying from a main dealer within warranty here. You are also buying a more high end car going by their stock list so it's expected you need to give it a good check out.

maybe they operate on very low margins . but i wonder how they have access to such tasty motors when they sell cars so cheaply. surely to sell prestige cars cheaply you must be buying cheaply but a main dealers going to want best possible trade in price.

Yeah walked away after reading reviews that cost them 13. grand if you lost one sale a month from bad press you'd think you'd be trying to clean up your reputation treads going back ten years slating them,

I popped over having seen advertised a car I had owned not too long ago. I regretted having sold it and was considering buying it back.

It was advertised as being in excellent condition etc.

It "was" in excellent condition when I sold it.

I was so terribly disappointed when I saw it that we did not even bother making an offer.
What a terrible waste of time driving over to view considering the glowing description!

Take every description with a very large pinch of salt.

Bought a car off these guys... but never again. Lovely cars, cheap prices - but you pay for what you get. Watch out for the small print - they offer 6 months on the engine and gearbox, but in the small print they also write 14kms - whichever comes first. The gearbox developed a fault in the car I bought (my own fault, there was some tell-tale signs when I first got it), still with them 5 weeks later and not a chance of a replacement car while its off the road. They operate by "knowing the right people" in the industry to get work done on the cheap, but are appalling when it comes to customer service. Have to hound then for updates on progress. Quick to come back and point out its not covered under warranty though and pretend to be doing you a "favour" by getting it sorted, but not interested in helping you at all. Pretend to know what they are talking about, but quick to play dumb when you come back with a counter-statement. Not a SIMI dealer - will never deal with them again.
